As I was flipping through one of the books I borrowed from my work library (I’ll definitely do a book review later), I found a note I presume the previous reader left behind. In the note, it said, ‘Today, I won’t stress over things I can’t control’. As I read the note, I felt like it was a message for me. I have been stressing lately over everything, from how I can be the best mom even while away from my son to considering reducing or compressing my work hours to even applying for a higher role and of course getting on the property ladder. However, reading that note made me realise stressing or worrying about things doesn’t solve any problems, in fact, it worsens my mental health and so I have decided to enjoy each moment and choose myself instead of worrying over things I can’t control. Tell me in the comments what you have been stressing about and how you manage stress. I would love to read your perspective on stress management.
