My Journey: From Scrubs to Snuggles – Balancing Life as a Nurse and Mom

My name is Opeyemi. I am a Registered Nurse and a mom. I have been practising as an RN since 2011 and have worked in various settings, primarily in theatres as a theatre nurse. I recently transitioned to clinical research nursing. Among the many things I love about nursing, making a difference in patients’ lives tops the list.

My life changed completely when I became a first-time mom in 2022 after suffering from infertility due to severe endometriosis, which was first diagnosed in 2010. Having a child is my most cherished miracle. As a result, I now face the struggle of balancing a full-time job with wife and mom duties, all without neglecting my ‘miracle child’.

My vision for this blog is to create a safe space where nurses, moms, and busy professionals can find support, inspiration, and practical advice. I’ll be sharing nursing tips, mom struggles, family life stories, self-care advice, my endometriosis journey, and more to help achieve this goal.

Please join me on this journey. Subscribe and follow me on social media, and share your own stories in the comments. I am excited to connect with you and look forward to building a community of like-minded individuals.
